Chris Rhoad - Bio

Chris Rhoad is a young, up-and-coming entrepreneur in the Lawrence area. Chris's primary goal is to promote health and fitness in the local community by providing the best personal training service possible. And he is definitely on his way to achieving that goal!

Chris was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri where his earliest exposure to health and fitness came from participating in organized sports like baseball, basketball, and football. At the age of 12, Chris began weightlifting in order to improve his strength, athletic performance and overall fitness. By his senior year of high school Chris's hard work in the weight room had paid off as he became a three year letterman in football. Chris was also one of the Valedictorian's of his high school graduating class.

In the fall of 2001, Chris headed off to Kansas State University in pursuit of a degree in interior architecture. After realizing his true passion of helping people achieve their health and fitness goals, Chris decided to make a change and switched his major to Kinesiology, the study of human movement. He graduated with his degree in Kinesiology in 2006. Chris was also heavily involved in recreational athletic programs, campus organizations and the Greek community while at Kansas State.

Since graduating from Kansas State, Chris has worked in numerous types of fitness settings including corporate, commercial, private, and physical therapy clinics. This gives Chris a unique viewpoint and exposure working with diverse populations. Chris specializes in weight management counseling and nutritional advisement but mostly in post-rehabilitation training. Also, in order to satisfy his teaching desire Chris has taught part-time for Pinnacle Career Institute in Lawrence as a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) instructor. Teaching subjects like Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, and Business Management just to name a few.

In the summer of 2008, Chris decided to take his education and experience to the next level by starting his own business. Morph soon became a reality. The name Morph came from Chris's strong belief that the greatest ability that human beings posses is the capacity to change...physically, emotionally, and intellectually. And because of this ability to change we can create a better self.

Since its creation Morph has grown tremendously. Chris now operates as an independent contractor for three local facilities including his own private studio at Bella Sera Condominiums. He regularly performs 30 to 35 training sessions per week typically seeing 12 to 15 different clients per week. Chris manages all of his own scheduling and finances. He also creates and develops all marketing and advertising for Morph.

So if you need help breaking through a plateau or are simply trying to reach a goal, Chris has the knowledge and experience to help you. He looks forward to working with you in the near future. Morph and transform your life!
