Chris Rhoad - Bio

Chris Rhoad is an established personal trainer and entrepreneur in Lawrence, Kansas. His goal is to promote health and fitness in the local community by providing the best personal training services possible.

Chris was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri where his earliest exposure to health and fitness came from participating in organized sports including baseball, basketball, and football. At the age of 12, Chris began weightlifting in order to improve his strength, athletic performance, and overall fitness. By his senior year of high school his hard work in the weight room had paid off as he became a three year letterman in football. Chris was also one of the Valedictorians of his high school graduating class.

In the fall of 2001, Chris began attending Kansas State University in pursuit of a degree in Interior Architecture. After realizing his true passion for helping people achieve their health and fitness goals he decided to make a change and switched his major to Kinesiology, the study of human movement. He graduated with his degree in Kinesiology in the fall of 2006. Chris was also heavily involved in recreational sports, campus organizations, and the Greek community while at Kansas State.

After graduating from Kansas State, Chris worked in numerous fitness settings including corporate, commercial, private, and physical therapy clinics. This gives Chris a unique viewpoint and exposure working with diverse populations. Chris specializes in strength development, weight management, nutritional advisement, and post-rehabilitation training. In order to satisfy his teaching desire Chris has also taught part-time for Pinnacle Career Institute in Lawrence as a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) instructor. He taught several subjects including Nutrition, Exercise Physiology, and Business Management.

Chris decided to take his education and experience to the next level in 2008 by starting his own business. Morph Training soon became a reality. The name Morph came from his strong belief that the greatest ability that human beings posses is the capacity to change...physically, emotionally, and intellectually. And because of this ability to change we can create a better self.

Morph Training has grown tremendously since its creation. Chris operates out of his own private studio located inside of Bella Sera Condominiums. He regularly performs 30 to 35 training sessions per week typically seeing 20 to 25 different clients. Chris manages all of his own scheduling and finances. He also creates and develops all marketing and advertising for Morph Training.

Chris is now happily married with two amazing dogs. His hobbies include lifting weights, running, cycling, and various other outdoor activities. He also enjoys competing in 5K, 10K, and half marathon races. Chris' most recent project is creating a free fitness camp open to the public in order to promote a healthier community.

If you need help breaking through a plateau or are simply trying to reach a goal, Chris has the knowledge and experience to help you. He looks forward to working with you in the near future. Morph and transform your life!
